There’s a new extract/supplement that I’ve seen written about in a number of newspapers called Glabriniex(R).
Glabrinex is the brand name for a weight loss and diet supplement created from Glarbridin. Glabridin is an extract created from licorice root. A bit of online shows that licorice root extract seems to have a variety of beneficial effects in addition to weight loss.
The weight loss and diet claims for Glabrinex are a bit more targetted than most. The studies they are using to back their claims indicate that Glabrinex targets visceral fat. Now I’ve never been much of a believer that one can specifically target one area of fat, but that’s what they’re suggesting. What is visceral fat? It’s the fat in your abdomen, including the stuff that surrounds your organs.
If these claims are true, then the potential effects of Glabrinex could be revolutionary. Visceral fat and round abdomens have been linked to all sorts of other health issues like diabetes, heart attack, and all sorts of other nasties. If glabridin can decrease that then it becomes not just a diet supplement, but potentially a life saver for many people at risk of many conditions.
I couldn’t find any Canadian sources for Glabrinex but the US store that sells it is here: Buy Glabrinex online.
